Swine Influeza Virus Friends, again we have an alarming swine disease after the Ebola Virus according to the latest news report from TV and newspapers. But this virus disease is more shocking because once a virus spreads it would become a wide spread outbreak of an infectious disease. As i continously monitor about the effect of this disease from TV news it is becoming pandemic that may be occurring throughout the world if not controlled or prevented. This is a swine influenza virus caused by Orthomyxoviruses that can be spreads to pig populations. Once this virus changed into its form it then easily acquired by human and spreads to other human through direct contact. Symptoms is the same like an ordinary flu with clinical manifestations like fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. and some patients suffered from vomiting and diarrhea. The WHO (World Health Organization)warning all the people to avoid kissing and hugging each other specially at the suspected countries with reported cases of swine flu virus. Here in the Philippines, there is no reported cases of swine influenza virus yet but Secretary of Health is still reminding all the Filipino people to be very observant and make precautions from the possible causes. The Department of Health officials are now closely observing all involves domestic swines.
